Day 1: Dushanbe - Hissor - Dushanbe
The driver will meet you in the airport and accompany to Dushanbe. Today we will drive 35 km to visit Hisor fortress belonging to the VII-XVII centuries. This site has encouraged areas and citadel. The fortress in long time was the residence of the delegate of the Emir of Bukhara located on a high hill with 1 m thick walls and loopholes for guns. There can be found a pool and a garden and across from the fortress there was a busy market square with a caravan serai and shops. Travelers will see "Madrasa I Kuhna" (16th-17th centuries), mosque; the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" (16th century). After coming back to Dushanbe you will have lunch. Then we will visit Botanical garden and Victory Park with vibrant panorama view on the city. Transfer to a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Ramit - Dushanbe
On this tour you will visit the state natural reserve "Ramit" controlled by the Government of the Tajik SSR in 1959 situated in the outstanding Ramit gorge, near the town of Vahdat, more than 80 kilometers from the city of Dushanbe. The area of the reserve is located at an altitude of 1176-3195 m above sea level, on the hills of the Hissar Range. In the Ramit Gorge, there is a river full of fish. In the mountainous area there is a rich flora of medicinal herbs. There is the chance to see mountain goats, wild boars, and other species of animals and birds. One of the momentous attainments of the reserve is the creation of an artificial population of Bukhara deer. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Dushanbe - Iskanderkul Lake
We will have a tour to high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul (2 255 m. a. s. l.) that can be seen in the famous Fann Mountains. It is worth saying that it is one of the best places of Central Asia. The road to the lakes goes over Anzob pass (3 372 m) where you can admire panorama views and rest on beaches. We will hike 40 minutes to see a waterfall. Tajikistan takes the second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources: it has the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Overnight is in a homestay.
Day 4: Iskanderkul Lake
On this tour we will have hiking at this Fann Mountains. Fann mountains are mountain area known in ancient times as "Kuhistan". Kuhistan is Farsi word for "Mountainous Country". In Fanns, travelers can see more than 30 pure lakes of different size and shape. These days Fann Mountains are a popular among travelers and locals. Everyone will admire outstanding flora and fauna and take vibrant photos. Rest is in a homestay.
Day 5: Iskanderkul Lake - Seven Lakes
We will travel to the Fannsky Gory (Fann Mountains) over pass of Shahriston (3 378 m). in Central Asia, it is most popular hiking areas. Then you will have time drive to the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes), about 60 km south of Panjakent and enjoy a short hiking. There road goes along a gorge where 7 lakes are located of diverse altitudes colors. We will meet local people that live at that area. Night is in a homestay.
Day 6: Seven Lakes - Penjakent
In the morning we will travel to Penjakent or "five villages" that is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a charming Zeravshan river valley. This city is appeared in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent in past times was one of the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd and named "Central Asian Pompeii". It was a well-organized city with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. Its ruins were found only in the last century. Here can be found dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Night is in a hotel.
Day 7: Jartepo border
In the morning is transfer to Uzbek border.
